Chicago Wedding Events - The History of Weddings

During the Middle Ages, wedding celebrations were seen as a community events. All that was needed for two people to become married was for both partners to make a commitment to one another to become husband and wife. Witnesses were not always in attendance and higher clergy members were also not required to attend such events. These were optional among the members of the community.
